Privacy
What scutæ stores about you, why, and how to get rid of it.
What is stored
Your email address; a salted hash of your password (never the password itself); the dates you signed up, confirmed your email and last signed in; the songs you upload; the stems made from them; and your saved mixes.
Why
The email address is used to confirm your account, to reset your password, and to tell you if someone tries to sign up with it. There are no newsletters and no ads.
Cookies
One session cookie keeps you signed in. It is not used for tracking. The site uses no analytics and loads nothing from other sites.
Abuse records
To slow down password guessing and spam, sign-in, sign-up and reset attempts are recorded with a hash of the IP address or email, and kept for about a day.
Who has access
Your songs, stems and mixes are private to you. They are processed on the operator's own computer and are not sent to any other service. The site runs on a shared web host, which stores the database and the files.
Deleting your data
Open the Account page and choose Delete my account. That removes your account, songs, stems, mixes and files at once. The web host may keep its own backups, which are outside our control.
